Where would you like to fly from?
Are you flying at the weekend during peak season (1 Apr – 1 Sept)?

From April through September (high season), weekend flights are more expensive due to higher landing fees.

Online scheduling isn't available for Lelystad yet. Contact us at planning@eflight.nl and we'll schedule your flight from Lelystad together.

An actual lesson with an experienced instructor, perhaps even the start of your pilot's licence?
✓️ Fly yourself in a 100% electric aircraft
✓️ An unforgettable experience, unique in the Netherlands!

Always wanted to learn to fly? Go for it! At E-Flight Academy, you fly in an ultra-modern aircraft. We conduct our trial lessons in a 100% electric aircraft. You fly much more quietly, cleanly, and easily than in a conventional aircraft. Together with an experienced instructor, you will pilot the aircraft yourself. You’ll be amazed at how well it goes, and you’ll definitely come away with an unforgettable experience.

Enjoy the surroundings.

The Netherlands from the air is beautiful. From the airport, there is a wide choice of views. What about the beautiful Deventer, Het Loo Palace, the Julianatoren, Berg en Bos, the Apenheul, the meanders of the IJssel, the Veluwezoom, various castles, the National Park De Veluwe and Veluwemeer or the Grebbeberg? So in this lesson, you’ll also learn how to navigate toward these gems.

Quite a lesson

The trial lesson at E-Flight is truly a full lesson. After arriving at Teuge Airport, you will receive a briefing and an explanation about the aircraft. You will learn about the technology, the flight characteristics, and the controls. We then taxi to the runway and take off to stay in the air for about 40 minutes. You will learn to climb, descend, and make turns. After landing, we drive back to the hangar and you will receive a debriefing. In total, the lesson lasts 1.5 to 2 hours. Would you like to take a look around the cockpit in advance? You can do so below.

After class

Found it fantastic and craving more? Then you could consider a Private Pilot License (PPL) training course with us. We start with an assessment of six lessons. You've already completed the first one with this trial lesson!

Good to know

  • Are you heavier than 95 kilos (with clothes and shoes on), or taller than 1.95 m? If so, please give us a call. With a maximum starting weight of 600 kilograms, there are limitations.
  • This trial lesson includes fuel, electricity, one landing, and surcharges.
  • It comes standard with one landing during a trial lesson. If you’re an experienced pilot, you may want to land more often or try a touch-and-go. That’s no problem, but we will then charge the extra landing fees through.

Schedule date and time

You can choose a date and time directly with your order (at the top of this page). You can also do this later. Of course, the weather may not cooperate and we may need to reschedule the trial lesson. We will always let you know as soon as possible.

Take lessons on the weekend

That’s possible, we’re open every day. Please keep in mind that the airport applies higher landing fees for all flights from early April to the end of September. That’s why this is more expensive during this period if you want lessons at the weekend.

I always had this little desire to "fly a plane". We don't have this opportunity in India (unless you sign up for the full license training etc). Last week, when I visited Netherlands, my son recommended E-Flight academy. I had booked the class for the day I arrived. However the weather was not good and the school rescheduled it to another day. We drove down from Amsterdam and were greeted by the trainer. Warm welcome, coffee, and explained about the aircraft, the controls and other aspects. I got into the plane and was guided superbly by the trainer - to the extent that I could do most of the actions - taxi, takeoff, some of the maneuvering (stall, 360 turn, go up down, fly along the river etc). Landing was done by the trainer and followed by a debrief. Personally, a superb experience - the school, the staff who managed the appointment, the trainer and the actual flying !

I fly as an instructor on the same type of electric plane back home in Norway, so when I visited the area I just had to do a quick flight with E-Flight. This school is nothing other than impressive. The details put the dot over the i. They even have their own solar panels on the roof. Both the instructor and the rest of the staff are super welcoming and friendly, and skilled. The Velis Electro is an awesome airplane, quiet and comfortable - and E-Flights instructors make this into a great experience. Highly recommended! Thank you for being awesome, and thank you for helping bring electric aviation to the World, E-Flight!

My son (16) flew (himself!) with a seasoned E-Flight Academy instructor and could not stop talking about it on the way back home. Don't think this is just a fun attraction though, they are serious about flying. And take you serious. Even in this introductionary flight he got to learn a lot about the procedures, the plane, the avionics. And of course it is also great fun! It was a wonderful afternoon. And since it was an electric flight and E-flight Academy creates their own solar energy it was silent and clean! Thank you so much, we wish you many successes in pioneering the future of flight!

I did a trial lesson here and it was an amazing experience! The aircraft are brand new, the instructor was great and I could control the aircraft for most of the flight, doing some really interesting manoeuvres. It was also a good opportunity to learn more about electric aircraft.

Last Thursday I went flying at E-flight academy in Teuge to try out a class on the Pipistrel velis electro, I was really looking forward to flying an electric plane as its something new and innovative. The instructor was very friendly and gave a great explanation of the basics. While in the air the instructor still demonstrated some manoeuvres such as a stall and sharp turns. When it was my turn to fly I made some turns and went flying around the clouds, it was great! Overall I would say give it a try, flying electric is also a lot quieter.
