Flight Academy anno 2022
Fly electric
Do you dream of truly sustainable aviation, just like we do? Come and fly at the Netherlands' first and only full-electric flight school. The ideal place for your first trial lesson, assessment, obtaining your pilot license or for clean flying hours as an experienced pilot.
And we are starting now
Electric flying is still done in two-seaters. In ten years time we hope to fly to Madeira with our families, emission-free. With E-Flight we want to accelerate that development. That is why we start with what is already possible: training pilots in electrical aircraft.

Learn from 4500+ flight hours
Head of Training Evert-Jan Feld has thousands of flying hours of experience, of which 1750+ as an instructor and 200 as an examiner.

100% kick, 0% emissions
By flying electrically we save 230 tons of CO2 in three years. You fly much cleaner, quieter and immediately at full power.

The highest safety levels
Fly in the latest electrical aircraft. Extensively tested, comfortable and fully certified by EASA.
Pilot and pioneer
Learn to fly
Are you a novice, an experienced pilot, or do you want a trial lesson first? Let go of 'flight shame' and go for it. E-Flight Academy is the only flight school in the Netherlands where you can get your pilot license for both conventional and electric airplanes in one go.
Ready to fly
The worldwide standard for flying on single-engine aircraft. Fully electric- and fuel powered. From the Private Pilot Licence (PPL) there are many possibilities to expand your capabilities.

Frequently asked questions
We fly three aircraft, two of which are fully electric. These are approved aircraft of the Light Sport Aircraft (CS-LSA) type. The endurance (time in the air) of these aircraft is a maximum of 50 minutes. You will then land with at least 10 minutes of reserve in the battery. The largest part of a flight training program can be flown this way. For the longer navigation flights we fly with a Pipistrel Virus SW 121. This is exactly the same aircraft as our electric Pipistrel Velis, only with an efficient, but conventional engine. We will of course compensate all emissions for this device. We hope to have newer devices by 2023, so that this will no longer be necessary.
You will receive an internationally recognized license that allows you to fly on the exact same aircraft as you would with a license from any other flight school. This is possible because we teach a number of hours of the training on a single-engine piston airplane (piston engine). This is necessary for the navigation components and therefore has the advantage that one gets the license for single-engine aircraft. Read all about our courses.
Oil level check? Warming up for 10 minutes? Not necessary. With four switches, the propellor starts silently and you are ready to taxi to the strip. Then you immediately have full power at your disposal. And then you fly. Yes. Electric flying is different, but still quite similar. Maybe just better.
You can do both! Please note though, our chargers are only suitable for aircraft, we are still realizing infrastructure for charging cars. You simply taxi your plane to our E-deck hangar. Make sure you pay your landing fees yourself, at the harbor master.
