    Learn to fly in the fully electric Pipistrel Velis Electro for €1,800 incl VAT.

    A PPL license has always stated that one can fly with a single-engine piston (SEP or piston engine). Since last year it is also possible to follow a difference training within the SEP class rating, after which you can also fly electric aircraft. At the moment the Pipistrel Velis Electro is the only device in the world with an EASA certification. There are already about 50 aircraft flying around and this number is increasing very quickly.

    Contents of the E-Rating training

    Theory

    • The theory consists of an E-learning training with a short test. Approximately 10 hours of study

    Practice

    • Four flights with instructor
    • One solo flight
    • A annotation will be added to your logbook by the instructor, after successful completion of the training
    • Including landing fees, electricity, VAT and good fair trade coffee

    Good to know

    • For an E-rating you need a valid PPL or LAPL certificate. Or a higher certificate such as CPL or ATPL.
    • You must have a valid medical certificate.
    • Keep in mind that the MTOW (Maximal Take-Off Weight) of the Pipistrel Velis Electro is 600 kilograms. Pilot and passenger (or instructor and student) together must not weigh more than 172 kilograms.
    • Pilots who have successfully completed this training can also rent our Velis Electro. More on this site soon.
