You need a valid licence (at least LAPL or PPL), a valid medical certificate, and sufficient experience on the type. For the electric Pipistrel Velis, you must also have completed our E-Conversion first. View the requirements on the E-Conversion page.

If you have not flown the relevant type in the past 60 days, we ask that you first complete a check-out flight with one of our instructors before renting solo. This helps you stay safe and familiar with the aircraft. For the electric Velis, we also check whether you have an E-Conversion — this remains valid indefinitely.
