Hangar rules — always move aircraft with at least two people

Solo aircraft movement in the hangar is no longer allowed. Open doors fully, work in pairs.

Background

The likelihood of parking damage from solo aircraft movements has become too high, leading to dangerous situations. Even minor damage can have significant consequences for the airworthiness of our aircraft. To increase safety, a clear set of hangar rules now applies at all times.

Key points

  • Solo aircraft movements are no longer permitted
  • Hangar doors must be fully open before moving any aircraft
  • Be mindful of dust when taxiing away — don't blast it into the hangar
  • Required actions

  • Never move an aircraft alone — always with at least 2 people present
  • Fully open hangar doors before any movement starts
  • When taxiing away from the hangar, manage propwash to keep dust out
  • Review the hangar rules posted on the hangar board
