ATPL training costs

The route to a commercial pilot licence (Frozen ATPL) is an intensive program, both in terms of time commitment and investment. At E-Flight Academy you follow this training modularly and in a sustainable way, with partly electric flying and CO2 compensation for conventional propulsion. This way you learn future-oriented flying AND reduce your ecological footprint.

Below you will find an overview of the training components you need to obtain a Frozen ATPL – including practical hours, theory and associated costs.

In the table you can see that we offer two options. The first is in the form of a Modular ATPL Full-Time programme where you train alongside several students to obtain your Frozen ATPL licence in a short period. The listed price includes everything you need, except your medical examination. The second option is the individual ATPL programme. Here all prices for the courses are listed, but the exams and building flight hours are not included in the total price. Of course, the price in the first column is a good estimate.

To help you get off to a good start we offer an onboarding session specifically for this pathway.

You can take parts of your training elsewhere or gain flight experience outside E-Flight Academy. You also pay for skill tests outside your training, but of course they must still be paid for.

The details of each module can be viewed here.

Notes on this table

PPL Theory

  • The PPL theory for the individual pathway is entirely self-study. For the full-time programme you receive 64 hours of classroom instruction, and all necessary materials (books, flight computer, etc)
  • For the individual programme the theory exam and the language proficiency are not included. For the full-time programme these are included

Skill tests

  • Within the full-time programme all skill tests (exams) are included, except re-examinations.

Hour Building

  • To be eligible to take your CPL skill test you need a minimum of 200 hours experience. In the Full-Time programme you will fly enough hours with our aircraft to meet the requirement. We also have instructors available to help you plan the flights. For the individual programme you can of course also rent the aircraft from us, but you can also do so elsewhere.

CPL training

  • The entry refers to a CPL practical training. We assume you have completed your Instrument Rating and ATPL Theory in full.

ATPL Theory

  • The Full-time programme includes 264 hours of classroom instruction. Here too you will receive all the necessary books, online learning environments and materials you need.
