Career Opportunities after Your Training at E-Flight Academy

Research shows that aviation will grow explosively in the next 10 to 20 years. This is due to new forms of aviation, and the outflow of retirement-eligible pilots alongside the nearly 100% growth that is anticipated. The aviation sector is therefore crying out for new talent. After successfully completing our Zero to Hero course, you stand at the start of a promising career. Whether you dream of commercial flights, private jets, cargo, instruction, or even a military career — the options are endless.

1. What do you do after Zero to Hero?

Congratulations! You have the theory and practice in hand. But what comes next?

✅ Keep your Frozen ATPL up-to-date

You now have a Frozen ATPL: all theory exams have been passed, you have a CPL license, but to get your ATPL you need to build hours within a multi-pilot airline environment to become a captain (this is where you actually need an ATPL license). If you don't want to work in the airline industry as a pilot, then you don't need an ATPL license either.

➡️ Keep your medical examinations valid
➡️ Stay involved in the cockpit, for example as an instructor or CPL pilot within a commercial flight operation

✈️ Building flight hours

Several routes:

  • Flight instructor: Start teaching immediately (possibly already during Zero to Hero!)

  • Business aviation / private jets: Charter companies offer many flight opportunities

  • Regional cargo and passenger companies: Often more accessible than major airlines

🧑✈️ Applying within professional aviation

After obtaining sufficient hours, you can advance to major companies. E-Flight has cooperation agreements with AIS Flight Academy, Corendon, KLM, Transavia, and other parties to smoothly transition E-Flight trained pilots to a flight operation of their choice.

Prepare for:

  • Simulator assessments

  • Psychological tests

  • Technical interviews
