PPL Lessons B23 (Navigation Phase)

My experience at E-Flight Academy Teuge completely exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the entire staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, even offering coffee and pastries. A huge thank you to my flight instructor, Stephanie Smulders. She made the theoretical briefing very interesting and interactive. The flight itself was superb—seeing the Netherlands from above is truly beautiful. We started by going through the pre-flight checklist together, and then I actually got to try some flight maneuvers under her careful supervision. Her instructions were remarkably clear and easy to follow, which was amazing considering I had absolutely zero prior knowledge or flying experience. She even took some great photos of me. I highly recommend this academy!

(Translated by Google) A really great flight school that I can recommend to anyone who wants to learn to fly here! There is always a relaxed atmosphere and the facilities are top-notch!

GEWELDIG school! (Translated by Google) AMAZING school!

(Translated by Google) The trial lesson was well organized and all necessary information was clearly communicated. The eflight website even deserves a separate 5-star rating for the clear and useful information. A professional organization with a focus on sustainability in aviation. That appeals to me. I am already considering taking the next step by booking an assessment. Special thanks to Peter for sharing his experience as a former Air Force pilot!

(Translated by Google) It was a really great experience; I took a trial lesson on the Pipistrel Velis Electro. I did this to see how I like it before I apply for the airline pilot program. For now, it's just a shame I'm not going straight on to the full PPL.

Excellent service and nice people. Fun flying the Velis!

Het was een geweldige ervaring. Goede, geduldige en duidelijke instructeur. Mooie route gevlogen. Helemaal enthousiast. (Translated by Google) It was a great experience. Good, patient, and clear instructor. Flew a beautiful route. Completely enthusiastic. Electric flying is a revelation, wonderfully quiet. And maximum time in the air without warm-up time. Leaves me wanting more!

(Translated by Google) I had a great experience with the trial lesson, and I definitely hope to come back for lessons. Highly recommended.

(Translated by Google) What an experience to fly electric for the first time! The instructor was very friendly and open to all my questions. I'll definitely be back! I recommend at least taking a trial lesson if electric flying appeals to you!

I always had this little desire to "fly a plane". We don't have this opportunity in India (unless you sign up for the full license training etc). Last week, when I visited Netherlands, my son recommended E-Flight academy. I had booked the class for the day I arrived. However the weather was not good and the school rescheduled it to another day. We drove down from Amsterdam and were greeted by the trainer. Warm welcome, coffee, and explained about the aircraft, the controls and other aspects. I got into the plane and was guided superbly by the trainer - to the extent that I could do most of the actions - taxi, takeoff, some of the maneuvering (stall, 360 turn, go up down, fly along the river etc). Landing was done by the trainer and followed by a debrief. Personally, a superb experience - the school, the staff who managed the appointment, the trainer and the actual flying !

(Translated by Google) Yesterday, my long-cherished childhood dream came true: flying a propeller plane myself. Electric, too, so nice and quiet and clean. Beautiful weather and sweeping views. Everything was captured with GoPros, so it's great to watch back at home. Once in my youth, I wanted to become a pilot, and I even made it quite far in the multi-day medical examination, but it fell through because I wore contact lenses. So I went for a different career instead. I did always keep flying, RC or now mostly in VR, but nothing beats the real thing! And that is exactly what I got to experience yesterday. I took to the skies with complete confidence, because sitting next to me was Peter, an instructor who was just as friendly as he was experienced and a flying enthusiast. I highly recommend this, and it certainly won't be the last time for me!

My son (16) flew (himself!) with a seasoned E-Flight Academy instructor and could not stop talking about it on the way back home. Don't think this is just a fun attraction though, they are serious about flying. And take you serious. Even in this introductionary flight he got to learn a lot about the procedures, the plane, the avionics. And of course it is also great fun! It was a wonderful afternoon. And since it was an electric flight and E-flight Academy creates their own solar energy it was silent and clean! Thank you so much, we wish you many successes in pioneering the future of flight!

Hele leuke vliegschool met een enthousiaste eigenaar fijne instructeur en natuurlijk nul uitstoot (Translated by Google) A really nice flight school with an enthusiastic owner, a great instructor, and of course, zero emissions.

Judy Resnik, NASA’s tweede vrouwelijke astronaut, inspiratiebron voor mijn theatervoorstelling You're too cute to be an astronaut, hield ongelooflijk veel van vliegen. Ze was er uitzonderlijk goed in. “She was a natural pilot. Absolutely incredible ability in the air.” Enfin. Zie YouTube kanaal Judy Lijdsman. (Translated by Google) Judy Resnik, NASA’s second female astronaut and the inspiration for my theatre production *You’re too cute to be an astronaut*, loved flying incredibly much. She was exceptionally good at it. “She was a natural pilot. Absolutely incredible ability in the air.” She certainly was. I don’t even have my driver’s license myself, but encouragement can make all the difference. My boyfriend gave me a flying lesson at E-Flight as a gift. I hugged him for this magnificent present and was afraid I was going to die. Which would make for a great story, though: ‘actress playing a crashed astronaut crashes in a small plane’. A filmmaker friend promised to make a film about it. But it was better if I didn’t die just yet. Anyway. Off to Teuge International Airport. I arrived, I shivered, and I flew. It was a thrilling experience. Instructor Mirella simply set my fear aside for a moment and taught me how to fly an electric plane in less than an hour. And so, I am still alive. That’s nice. I could just make a video about it myself. See Judy Lijdsman's YouTube channel.

I fly as an instructor on the same type of electric plane back home in Norway, so when I visited the area I just had to do a quick flight with E-Flight. This school is nothing other than impressive. The details put the dot over the i. They even have their own solar panels on the roof. Both the instructor and the rest of the staff are super welcoming and friendly, and skilled. The Velis Electro is an awesome airplane, quiet and comfortable - and E-Flights instructors make this into a great experience. Highly recommended! Thank you for being awesome, and thank you for helping bring electric aviation to the World, E-Flight!

(Translated by Google) On Sunday, August 25, I enjoyed a trial lesson that I had received as a gift for my 75th birthday. There was plenty of peace and quiet and time for a good explanation. I enjoyed it immensely and did not feel unsafe for a single moment. It was nice to see Apeldoorn (my hometown) from above for a change. Highly recommended.

(Translated by Google) As paragliders, my daughter and I once again flew in silence. All you hear is the wind. A wonderful experience to experience once, perhaps a stepping stone to more...

Das dan mooi dichtbij 😉😎 (Translated by Google) On Sunday, August 11th, I had a really fun experience flying electric in the PH-EFL. Together with pilot Mirella Janssen, I made a beautiful flight from Teuge via the IJssel, Deventer, and Zutphen, via Sierra back to the LZ. I made a few turns myself and climbed to 2,000 feet. Very enjoyable and also a very relaxed feeling. Such a small plane, with all its movements and thermals, is truly much more beautiful than flying in a big sardine can. I won't forget this anytime soon, and who knows... maybe you'll get a base in Hoogeveen. That would be nice and close 😉😎

Enthusiastic instructor, no pressure in time and well explained and structured first lesson. Getting ready for the next ones!

Met vriendelijke groet Bert en Gertie (Translated by Google) Last Friday, we took our first electric flight. As seasoned veterans of electric driving, it was a challenge to take to the skies electrically for a change. A fantastic experience. Almost as quiet as an electric car, with just as much power, we each took to the air in our own plane (with an instructor). And there, we took control of the aircraft. A great experience. We flew ourselves for more than half an hour, partly over Deventer, a stretch along the IJssel, and over the meadows. The instructor eventually landed the plane himself. We can recommend a trial flight to everyone. We came up with the idea when we visited E-flight in 2023 for the annual meeting of the VER (Association of Electric Drivers). A wonderful exchange. To Mitchel and Evert-Jan: thank you very much; it was TOP! Kind regards, Bert and Gertie

(Translated by Google) An electric plane, that doesn't exist, does it? Well, it does! After flying (and being in) "conventional" aircraft a few times, I can say this is flying 2.0. Enjoying the agility, the speed, the relative peace, and the highly expert guidance of our instructor. A wonderful morning, a unique experience.

Hele goede ervaring gehad! (Translated by Google) Had a great experience! I gave a flying lesson as a gift to a boy who was on vacation here during a period of very bad weather. He explained the situation and was very helpful, and our flight was moved one day to allow for a better chance of good weather. This turned out to be good advice, as the original date wouldn't have gone ahead, and the new date had a beautiful blue sky :) Furthermore, the pilot was very friendly and provided a fantastic day. We would like to thank the planners and the pilot very much!

Leuke proefles gehad! 45 min boven Apeldoorn. Echt een belevenis. (Translated by Google) Had a fun trial lesson! 45 minutes north of Apeldoorn. A real experience.

Heel leuke ervaring. Mooi bedrijf, vriendelijke mensen. Fantastisch om elektrisch te kunnen vliegen :) (Translated by Google) Very nice experience. Beautiful company, friendly people. Fantastic to be able to fly electric :)

(Translated by Google) Flying yourself is a magical experience. It's great to see that electric flight is possible, even though it's still in the pioneering stages. The organization and communication are excellent. It's a bit pricey, but it's worth it.

(Translated by Google) A really fun experience and welcome to the electric era. Even as a petrolhead, it was very relaxing for me to fly.

EFlight is een prachtig, eerlijk, no-nonsense bedrijf; what you see is what you get! Ik ga voor een assessment en hoop op voldoende talent en doorzettingsvermogen voor een PPL:) (Translated by Google) A wonderful, unashamed flying experience richer! Thanks to my instructor's trust, I was able to fly independently for half an hour over Teuge during my first lesson. EFlight is a wonderful, honest, no-nonsense company; what you see is what you get! I'm going for an assessment and hoping I have enough talent and perseverance for a PPL :)

Superervaring , enorme aanrader !! (Translated by Google) A fantastic experience to experience and do! First, a technical explanation/briefing on how the plane works, followed by takeoff and free flight and control. You have plenty of freedom to determine your own route and get the hang of the plane as you go. A fantastic experience, highly recommended!

Erg leuke proefles! (Translated by Google) Very fun trial lesson!

(Translated by Google) A well-organized and well-executed trial lesson. Instructor Mirella took my knowledge and (lack of) experience into account. This made it a real lesson from which I learned a lot. You also get the sense that electric flying is still partly a pioneering endeavor. As with older electric cars, battery management is a bit of an issue.

(Translated by Google) I had my first flying lesson today. I was a bit nervous, but that quickly disappeared after the instructor/pilot briefing. What a fantastic experience! Seeing firsthand what a plane does when you move the stick—it's very unusual. I definitely recommend it to everyone; just give it a try, I'd say. Sincerely, Rob's Ice Cream Bike.

The world of aviation needs to change and it starts here! At the E Flight Academy my son and I (separately) had our first trial lesson and experienced what it is like to fly an electric plane. We loved it! This is the future and it is happening now!

Thank you for the opportunity to fly. The impressions are incredible. She received a charge of cheerfulness and felt as if she had been on vacation.

6. Kortom: een aanrader (Translated by Google) 1. A professional and orderly organization 2. Pleasant and friendly reception, clear and solid explanation (briefing) 3. The flying is a great experience 4. The flying itself is beautiful, but what makes it special is the "pioneer feeling" of electric flying 5. Because of the above, you forget that it is quite an expensive outing. It is certainly worth it! 6. In short: highly recommended

(Translated by Google) Really...they are real: here they don't just talk, they do innovation...clear, beautiful, and sparkling.

(Translated by Google) Our granddaughter was very enthusiastic about her first flight behind the controls! After a useful briefing by the instructor, she now has a better understanding of flying following an educational flight.

Uitstekend (Translated by Google) Excellent

(Translated by Google) I had a trial lesson on a somewhat colder day, which, as it turned out, significantly increased the loading time due to a software error. I received a comprehensive preflight briefing from a very friendly instructor. Since I'd never flown before, the taxiing was a bit wobbly. Once airborne, I was allowed to take control again, and the flight was very smooth and easy. Although I don't have any comparison material, of course, I expected the steering to be heavier/more difficult. We also had crystal clear weather, so we had a magnificent view. Despite the somewhat long wait, it was a fantastic experience, thanks in part to the friendly staff and instructor. Even if you don't aspire to be a pilot, it's a truly wonderful experience.

👍

Leuke ervaring! (Translated by Google) Great experience! This is the future. It's still an hour's flight now, but greater distances in the future. I can recommend it!

Fantastische ervaring met heel vriendelijke mensen. Absolute aanrader! (Translated by Google) Fantastic experience with very friendly people. Highly recommended!

Had best langer mogen duren. Fijne en ontspannen instructeur. (Translated by Google) A nice introduction to flying, and especially electric flying. It could have lasted longer. Nice and relaxed instructor.

It is a nice experience regarding the pre-flight check. Starting an electric motor, without the twisting and vibration of a combustion engine. The glide to take off, silently. And how easily the Pipistrelo flies. I was lucky too, I had a good instructor. The aircraft is easy to control and forgives mistakes. And it quickly lets you know what is about to happen, thanks to its extended wings. Very stable flying, I call that. The landing flight was also a wonderful feeling. I want so much more
