Do you often fly along with someone and does flying look like E=MC²? Or do you ever look up and think “That would be so cool... but I don’t have time for a whole course”? Then the Fly-2-gether course is perfect for you! This course is for people who do want to learn to fly themselves, but who don’t want to do a complete flight training program for it. With the Fly-2-gether flying course, you’ll learn all the basic skills of flying within 15 flying hours, and you can have your flying skills assessed once every quarter
What is it?
In the Fly-2-gether course, we teach you to fly until you can do it completely on your own. We stop at the very first solo flight. By then, you will have flown 15 hours and only learned the theory that directly supports flying. So no boring regulations or sleep-inducing meteorology lessons. All the benefits, without the burden. From this point on, you’ll see that when you fly along with someone again, controlling an aircraft really isn’t rocket science, and it’s actually much more fun than you thought. You can also tell people at the bar that you learned to fly an aircraft completely on your own!
What is it not?
The bad news? After the Fly-2-gether course, you may only fly yourself with an instructor beside you. You can enjoy taking a lesson once a month or once per quarter to keep your skills up. So as a passenger, you are also never allowed to steer by yourself unless the pilot also happens to be an instructor. The Fly-2-gether course is not an approved flight training program, but a 100%-fun course.
How does it work?
The Fly-2-gether flight course consists of the first lessons of the PPL (Private Pilot Licence) up to the first solo flight. All basic flight maneuvers are practiced, and the necessary theory will also be covered within the slot times. The lesson program consists of approximately 15 flight hours spread over 19 lessons. The first 6 flights of the Fly-2-gether course are exactly the same as an official flight training program for a licence. We call this the assessment period, during which you and we can see what we think of each other and also how much you enjoy it. There is a very good chance that you will enjoy it much more than you expected! After the assessment period, we therefore give you the opportunity to continue after all with an official flight training program such as the Private Pilot License (PPL) or Light Aircraft Pilot License (LAPL).
After completing the course, it is recommended to do a Fly-2-gether check once every quarter to assess whether all the skills learned are still up to standard.
Sustainable flying is an addiction we are happy to help spark.
"Flying is a wonderful invention. For many people, it is a dream to be able to pilot an aircraft. But it often remains just a dream because obtaining a licence is also a major investment of time and money. For that group, there is now a manageable alternative: the Fly-2-gether flight course. A compact and affordable course that trains people from take-off to landing. And all of it completely emission-free, much quieter, and in the latest electric aircraft." -- Evert-Jan Feld (Co-founder E-Flight Academy)
