✓️ All 14 EASA ATPL theory subjects, including Area 100 KSA
✓️ 30 classroom days (232 hours) at E-Deck Teuge, one fixed day per week
✓️ 696 hours of supervised self-study in a small class (max. 6-8 students)
✓️ All study materials: books, flight computer and access to the learning platform
Who is this course for?
You hold your PPL and want to move towards a commercial career, but you would like to take the ATPL theory separately — at your own pace alongside your flight hours, or because you are doing (part of) the rest of your training elsewhere. With this course you join our ATPL class and follow exactly the same theory programme as the students in our full-time Modular ATPL programme.
Classroom and self-study
One day a week you are taught by our ATPL instructor in our classroom at E-Deck. On the other study days you work through the material independently — preferably at E-Deck as well — using computer-based training (CBT), practice questions and progress tests. That keeps you in step with the class and gets you through the 14 exams in about 34 weeks.
Start
A new ATPL theory class starts roughly every quarter. Want to know when the next one begins? Give us a call or send us an email and we will confirm the start date and the fixed class day.
Requirements
- You hold a valid PPL(A).
- Good command of English (all course material and exams are in English).
Tip: a Class 1 medical is only required for your CPL, not for the theory exams. Even so, we recommend getting the medical before you start, so you know your investment in the theory will not be wasted.
Not included in the price
We arrange the CBT licences and the exams for you, but you pay them directly to the supplier. They do not charge VAT; if we invoiced them on to you, 21% would be added. This way it stays as cheap as possible for you.
- CBT licences (computer-based training, 14 subjects): approx. € 3,095
- Theory exams at Orbit, 14 subjects, first attempt: approx. € 1,079
- Resits and additional private lessons.
So budget around € 12,425 in total for your complete ATPL theory, of which € 8,248 goes to E-Flight Academy.
Questions about entry requirements, planning or what comes after your theory (IR, CPL, ME/IR)? Get in touch or take a look at the cost overview of the complete ATPL training.
