Finance Manager wanted


E-Flight Group is a Dutch pioneer in electric aviation. With our electric flight school and innovative event venue E-Deck, we are building the future of sustainable aviation. We are a passionate company with a mission: quiet, clean flying without guilt. We started in 2021 and have taken big steps with a fleet of 7 aircraft, our own hangar with a microgrid, and plans to expand to other airfields, including outside the Netherlands.

The Role

As Finance Manager, you will be the financial engine of our organization. You take full ownership of our financial processes and help us grow strategically from startup to market leader. We’re looking for a mix: a financial controller who looks back and analyzes what happened, and a business controller who thinks ahead about the company’s future and creates the financial plans.

What will you do? A lot of different tasks. Because we are a small company, we don’t have a finance department. All the tasks below are currently handled by one of the founders, and that’s no longer sustainable. So the work is extremely varied!

  • Financial Planning: Manage P&L, budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling
  • Pricing Strategy: Optimize pricing for flight lessons, training programs, and other products.
  • Contract Management: Negotiate and manage vendors, lease contracts, partnerships
  • Investment Cases: Business cases for new aircraft, facilities, expansion
  • Reporting: Management dashboards, investor updates, quarterly reviews
  • Administrative Support: Support administrative processes, liaise with the external accountant
  • Process Optimization: Automate financial workflows, efficiency improvements
  • Strategic Support: Support funding rounds, M&A options, and strategic planning.

Who are we looking for

Experience: Experience in finance/operations
Background: WO/HBO in Finance, Economics, Business Administration
Skills: Google Sheets expert, financial modeling, contract negotiation
Personality: Hands-on, analytical, entrepreneurial, able to work independently

Bonus points:

  • Experience with pricing strategy & revenue optimization
  • Experience with fundraising/investor relations
  • Knowledge of grants and innovation financing
  • Experience with Scaling Up methodology
  • Background in the aviation, transport, or tech industry
